February is gallbladder cancer awareness month, represented by the color green. Gallbladder cancer occurs when cells in the gallbladder (located just underneath the liver) begin to divide uncontrollably. The American Cancer Society estimates that, in 2021, more than 4,000 people in the United States will die from gallbladder cancer.
